Do I need Dynamics 365?

No. Dove365 CRM — Starter is built on Microsoft Power Platform and Dataverse — not Dynamics 365. You do not need a Dynamics 365 licence to use Dove365 CRM — Starter. The required licence is Power Apps Premium, which is significantly more cost-effective than a full Dynamics 365 subscription.

Do I need Power Apps Premium?

Yes. Power Apps Premium is required because Dove365 CRM — Starter uses Dataverse as its data platform. Each user who accesses the CRM needs a Power Apps Premium licence. Dove365 will advise on the most cost-effective licensing approach for your team size during the discovery call — for most small teams, the total licence cost is a fraction of a comparable Dynamics 365 or Salesforce deployment.

Outlook, SharePoint & integrations

Does it work with Outlook?

Yes. Dove365 CRM — Starter includes built-in Outlook integration. Users can track emails against CRM records directly from Outlook on desktop or web. Server-side synchronisation keeps activity history current without manual effort. The Dynamics 365 App for Outlook is available for users who want the full in-Outlook CRM panel — for viewing customer records, creating leads, and linking emails to specific opportunities or cases without switching applications.

Does it work with SharePoint?

Yes. Dove365 CRM — Starter integrates with SharePoint for document management. Files stored against CRM records — accounts, contacts, opportunities, cases — are held in SharePoint document libraries, linked directly to the relevant CRM record. You can upload, access, and collaborate on documents without leaving CRM. You will need a SharePoint site as part of your Microsoft 365 setup, which most organisations already have.

Can it be integrated with other systems?

Yes, via Power Automate and standard Microsoft connectors. Dove365 CRM — Starter can be integrated with accounting tools, marketing platforms, customer portals, and other line-of-business systems. Complex third-party integrations are scoped and quoted separately from the base deployment. Dove365 will advise on the most practical approach for your technology stack during the discovery call.

Where can I see what has changed?

The solution-specific release notes document changes to CRM Starter and Dove365 Common, including dashboard, administration, user-experience, and optional browser-extension updates.

Can it be customised?

Yes. Dove365 CRM — Starter is a configurable productised solution, not a locked-down template. During deployment, Dove365 adapts fields, forms, views, and business process flows to match your terminology and process. Additional customisation — new modules, advanced automation, custom views, or extended data models — is available as a separate engagement, scoped and quoted based on your requirements.

Can it be extended with AI?

Yes. Dove365 CRM — Starter is built on Dataverse, Microsoft’s AI-ready data platform. It can be extended with Microsoft Copilot Studio to add AI assistants, automated reasoning, and natural language interaction against your CRM data. AI extensions are a separate engagement. If AI is a priority for your business, mention it during the discovery call and Dove365 can explain what’s practical and what the roadmap looks like from a Dove365 CRM — Starter baseline.

Training, support & ongoing help

Is training included?

Yes. Every Dove365 CRM — Starter deployment includes a handover and training session with your team on go-live day. Built-in training material is also included within the CRM itself, so new team members can get up to speed without waiting for a scheduled session. For ongoing training needs, support packages are available that include ad-hoc guidance and documentation updates.

Is support available after deployment?

Yes. Dove365 offers support packages that can be added to any Dove365 CRM — Starter deployment. These cover issue resolution, minor configuration changes, user management, mailbox configuration, and general system health monitoring.
